Art Of Friendship Contest Award Ceremony 2013

Art of Friendship Contest aimes to contribute to promotion of friendship and dialogue among the diverse members of our society at middle and high school levels. The wide range of cultures and ethnicities that characterizes our city and schools provides a unique opportunity for such dialogue. Students are encouraged to express and share their understandings of friendship through a visual medium.
Interfaith Peace Garden Project

The Interfaith Peace garden was motivated by the desire to set an inspiring example, a monument for the spirit of peaceful coexistence of major world faiths. The garden is intended to help develop a sense of appreciation for one’s own faith as well as one’s neighbors’.

IID in Oklahoma City, Okla. hosted an interreligious panel on the afterlife, February 26, 2013.

People from the greater Oklahoma City community gathered to eat tabouli, drink Turkish tea, and listen to a panel of speakers representing the three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Condemn the terrorist attack on the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey

The Institute of Interfaith Dialog and the Alliance for Shared Values (www.afsv.org) where IID is a member, condemn the terrorist attack on the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. It was a senseless act of violence that accomplished nothing more than the infliction of unbearable pain on victims and their families.

We offer our condolences and prayers for those affected by this senseless act of violence.

The Civilizations Choir of Antakya conveyed its message of peace and love for human being through the universal language of music.
Program started with the introduction of Peace Garden project by Mr. Bennett who talks about how this new project of Institute of Interfaith Dialog would serve primarily as a learning center for our ever evolving city of Houston, a landmark for diversity in the U.S.
