On April 24, 2012, The Institute of Interfaith Dialog, Oklahoma City hosted Rev. Robin R. Meyers at the Raindrop Turkish House, as keynote speaker at a luncheon forum.
Robin Meyers is a nationally known United Church of Christ minister and peace activist. His congregation describes itself as unapologetically Christian and unapologetically liberal (mayflowerucc.org). He writes for Christian Century, is an award-winning commentator for NPR, and a professor of rhetoric in the philosophy department at Oklahoma City University.

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Edward J. Konieczny, Bishop of The Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma visited the Institute of Interfaith Dialog. Bishop had lunch with IID members at the center. After lunch Executive Director of IID Orhan Kucukosman gave a brief presentation about the mission and vision of the institute as well as the activities. Bishop Konieczny emphasized the importance of working together as well as the necessity of interfaith/intercultural dialogue in today's world.

On January 25, 2012, The Institute of Interfaith Dialog, Oklahoma City hosted Dr. Kimball at the Raindrop Turkish House, as keynote speaker at a luncheon forum featuring the intersection of religion and politics.
Charles Kimball is Presidential Professor and Director of Religious Studies at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Between 1996 and 2008, he served as Chair of the Department of Religion and the Divinity School at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

The 2011 Annual Friendship Dinner & Awards Ceremony of the Institute of Interfaith Dialog, Oklahoma City took place on Tuesday November 15, 2011. The event was held in Petroleum Club, Oklahoma City.
The dinner gathered about two hundred and fifty people most of whom were academicians, State Representatives, businessmen and volunteers of nonprofit organizations. Mrs. Nurcihan Uysal, the outreach director of the Institute of Interfaith Dialog made a welcome speech and delivered a presentation of the Interfaith Garden, a new project of the IID. And the program started with the invocation which was done by Bruce Prescott, Executive Director of Mainstream Oklahoma Baptists.

The Institute of Interfaith Dialog Oklahoma City along with other faith groups organized and hosted another Abrahamic event on Sunday, September 11, 2011, in Norman, OK. It was a Panel Discussion Forum, the theme of which was “Building Peaceful Community in a Violent World”. Prior to the event, Greg Horton of Oklahoma Gazette published an article on the event.
